2007 Honda Odyssey
Mileage180,000Service Date1/24/2025Services Performed- removed the front engine mount and drained coolant. removed the alternator belt and tensioner. removed the timing covers and the crank pulley. timed the engine and then removed the timing belt. removed the water pump and installed new water pump. removed the timing belt idler and tensioner pulleys and installed new pulleys. installed new belt and verified correct timing before releasing the tensioner. installed the timing covers and installed the alt belt and tensioner. started vehicle and verified correct operation of the engine. filled with coolant and purged air from the system. test drove and verified correct operation of the vehicle.
- removed the upper intake plenum and removed the ignition coils and found the front middle cylinder ignition coil covered in an orange milky substance. removed the valve covers, installed new gaskets and re installed the valve covers. re installed the intake.
- upon removal the cylinder 4 coil was submerged in some weird substance. removed the rest of the plugs and found the middle front cylinder spark plug was loose pushing exhaust gasses pass the spark plug. installed new plugs and a new coil.
- cylinder 4 coil was submerged and the plug was loose allowing exhaust gasses past and burnt the tip of the coil. replaced coil.

2013 Chevrolet Equinox
Mileage124,170Service Date1/16/2025Services Performed- upon inspection i found the belt cracking, released tension and removed the belt, installed new belt.
- upon inspection i found the valve cover gasket leaking severely bad. got approval from customer. removed the air intake tube and removed the ignition coils. cylinder 1 spark plug tube was completely full of oil cyl 2 was 3/4 full of oil and the last 2 had a little oil in them. unhooked the fuel line and removed the valve cover bolts and removed the valve cover. upon removing the valve cover i noticed the upper timing chain guide is missing the plastic and front guide is broke. i recommend a timing chain in the near future. chipped the gasket off the cylinder head and cleaned the cylinder head mating surface. cleaned the valve cover and installed new gasket. applied silicon to the metal seams and installed the valve cover. re installed the remaining components and verified concern has been corrected.
- removed the spark plugs and had sam crank the engine several times to push the oil out of the cylinders. turned the engine till all four pistons were level and filled the cylinders with gas and let sit overnight. sucked out the fuel and then cranked it over to clean out the cylinders. installed new plugs and the coils and pushed vehicle outside and started outside and waited for the smoke to clear.
- verified concern, found the blower motor would stick and not spin but if turned up the fan speed eventually it would take off. recommend a new blower motor and blower motor resistor.
- removed the hvac cover and unhooked the blower motor and the resistor and removed from vehicle. installed new blower and resistor and verified concern has been corrected. did notice however the fan makes a little noise.

- verified concern, hooked up laptop and checked for codes and no codes set. watched live data and found all input signals from the switches working. did research and found a known problem with the switches breaking in the latch. removed the cover and found the plastic arm for the switch is broke. recommend a new latch for this concern. removed the latch and found the sensor came apart. put sensor back together and put it back in but no change. disconnected the sensor and now the trunk is manual

TEST DROVE AND VERIFIED CORRECT OPERATION OF COOLING SYSTEM. DURING TEST DRIVE I NOTICED THE OIL CHANGE STICKER IS OVER BY 3,000 AND THE IS WHEEL BEARING NOISE.

- Took vehicle on test drive and was able to duplicate customer's concern. After full vehicle inspection, recommend replacing the Right Front Hub, both front axle seals and front stabilizer bar links to remedy the concern. Also found front brake pads at 30%. Estimate submitted for recommended repairs.
- PERFORMED A QUICK VISUAL INSPECTION OF THE HEADLIGHT WIRING AND IT LOOKS GOOD, NO PROBLEM FOUND.
- RAISED AND SUPPORTED VEHICLE AND REMOVED THE KNUCKLE FROM THE STRUT AND LOWER CONTROL ARM AND SET THE KNUCKLE UP IN THE PRESS AND PRESSED THE HUB FLANGE OUT THEN PRESSED THE BEARING OUT. PRESSED IN NEW BEARING AND PRESSED IN THE HUB FLANGE. ATTACHED KNUCKLE TO THE VEHICLE.
- REPLACED FRONT PADS AND ROTORS AND CLEANED THE CALIPERS AND CALIPER BRACKETS.
- REMOVED THE LOOSE SWAY BAR LINKS AND INSTALLED NEW SWAY BAR LINKS.
- REMOVED THE LEFT AND RIGHT AXLE SHAFTS, INSTALLED NEW AXLE SHAFTS AND CLEANED AS MUCH GREASE OFF THE FRAME AND ENGINE AS POSSIBLE.

CLEARED CODES AND PULLED THE CYL 1 PLUG AND IT LOOKED NEW. SWAPPED THE PLUG WITH CYL 3 AND THE MISFIRE STAYED AT CYLINDER 1. SWAPPED THE COILS FROM 1 TO 3 AND THE MISFIRE FOLLOWED. RECOMMEND A COIL PACK TO PROCEED WITH REPAIR. TEST DROVE AND DID NOT HEAR ANY ABNORMAL NOISE IN THE SUSPENSION. RAISED AND SUPPORTED VEHICLE AND FOUND THE RIGHT FRONT HUB IS LOOSE AND THE FRONT SWAY BAR LINKS ARE LOOSE. VISUALLY INSPECTED THE EVAP SYSTEM AND NO VISIBLE DAMAGE. TRIED TO CLEAR THE CODES BUT THEY DO NOT RESET INDICATING AN INTERNAL FAILER IN THE EVAP CANISTER/LEAK DETECTION PUMP.
- REMOVED IGNITION COIL AND INSTALLED NEW COIL AND VERIFIED CONCERN HAS BEEN CORRECTED.
- RAISED AND SUPPORTED VEHICLE AND UNHOOKED THE HOSES AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR AND REMOVED THE HARDWARE, REMOVED THE CANISTER AND INSTALLED NEW CANISTER. HOOKED HOSES AND CONNECTOR. LOWERED VEHICLE AND CLEARED THE CODES AND IT CLEARED.

- HOOKED UP AC MACHINE AND RECOVERED .963 KGS. UNHOOKED THE AC LINES FROM THE CONDENSOR TO REMOVE THE RADIATOR. AFTER RADIATOR WAS REPLACED HOOKED UP THE AC LINES AND RAN 10 MINUTES OF VACUUM AND A VACUUM TEST AND THEN CHARGED THE SYSTEM TO .964 KGS. VERIFIED AC SYSTEM WORKS.
- PULLED INTO BAY AND UPON INSPECTION FOUND COOLANT ON THE LEFT FRONT AREA, ADDED SOME WATER AND FOUND IT DRIPPING FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE RADIATOR. RECOMMEND NEW RADIATOR FOR THIS CONCERN. SCANNED VEHICLE AND IT HAD A EVAP CODE AND A LOSS OF COMMUNICATION CODE.

- DISCONNECTED BATTERY AND REMOVED IT. UNHOOKED THE BELT AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS FROM THE ALTERNATOR. REMOVED THE BOLTS AND REMOVED THE ALTERNATOR. INSTALLED NEW ALTERNATOR AND RE INSTALLED REMAINING COMPONENTS. STARTED VEHICLE AND VERIFIED CORRECT OPERATION OF THE CHARGING SYSTEM.
