    • upon inspection i found the belt cracking, released tension and removed the belt, installed new belt.
    • upon inspection i found the valve cover gasket leaking severely bad. got approval from customer. removed the air intake tube and removed the ignition coils. cylinder 1 spark plug tube was completely full of oil cyl 2 was 3/4 full of oil and the last 2 had a little oil in them. unhooked the fuel line and removed the valve cover bolts and removed the valve cover. upon removing the valve cover i noticed the upper timing chain guide is missing the plastic and front guide is broke. i recommend a timing chain in the near future. chipped the gasket off the cylinder head and cleaned the cylinder head mating surface. cleaned the valve cover and installed new gasket. applied silicon to the metal seams and installed the valve cover. re installed the remaining components and verified concern has been corrected.
    • removed the spark plugs and had sam crank the engine several times to push the oil out of the cylinders. turned the engine till all four pistons were level and filled the cylinders with gas and let sit overnight. sucked out the fuel and then cranked it over to clean out the cylinders. installed new plugs and the coils and pushed vehicle outside and started outside and waited for the smoke to clear.
    • verified concern, found the blower motor would stick and not spin but if turned up the fan speed eventually it would take off. recommend a new blower motor and blower motor resistor.
    • removed the hvac cover and unhooked the blower motor and the resistor and removed from vehicle. installed new blower and resistor and verified concern has been corrected. did notice however the fan makes a little noise.
